Essential Oils

Essential oils are extracted from cells of flowers and plants. The use of these oils dates back to the ancient days of the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans. 100% pure essential oils can be used to treat many ailments ranging from anxiety and insomnia to colds and flu’s. 

Using an oil burner or diffuser in the home or workplace can create an ideal ambience and at the same time, be quite therapeutic. You can also use oils to alleviate health problems by way of inhalations (add 5 drops to very hot water in a bowl and cover your head with a towel for 5 minutes), baths (add 5 drops of oil under the hot tap and soak), body massage (add 5 drops to oil bases and enjoy). 

Peppermint
Peppermint oil is great to use as an inhalation for colds, flu’s, asthma, bronchitis and stuffiness as it helps to clear the respiratory tract. It is a ‘cephalic’ which can stimulate and energize when a drop is applied to each temple. Peppermint oil can also treat nausea, motion sickness, headaches and can stimulate hair growth and relieve muscular pain.

 Lavender
Lavender oil is the great relaxer and sleep enhancer. It can relieve nervous tension and also help relieve muscular aches and pains. Adding 5 drops to two tablespoons of carrier oil makes a soothing treatment for skin conditions. 

Clove
Clove oil amazingly kills mould spores and deters moths and silverfish. Traditionally it was used as a toothache and gum infection remedy. A drop in a glass of water is great for curing flatulence.
